Lion Alex has been an active Lion in District 20-R1 for 23 years. He was inducted in 1998 as charter member of the Rockland Centennial Lions Club along with both of his parents, before moving to the Pearl River Lions Club in 2018. He has served as Club Secretary (2002, 2003, 2014, 2016, 2019) and Club President (2005, 2008). Lion Alex has served at the district level as Technology Chair (2008, 2009. 2011, 2012, 2014), Cabinet Treasurer (2019, 2020, 2021) and 1st Vice District Governor (2021).
Lion Alex has been honored with the Robert J. Uplinger Award (2006), Melvin Jones Fellowship
(2005) and various International President Certificates of Appreciation, most recently in 2021. Lion Alex also volunteers regularly at VISIONS and was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Town of Ramapo, NY in 2016.
He is passionate about helping to make a difference for over 35 years through his work in information technology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with the shared mission of caring for cancer patients, cancer research and education.
Lion Alex and his wife, Lion Tiffany, have been married for 28 years and are blessed with three chil-dren. Their son Andrew John, is 27 years old, Alexis Rae is 23, and Alyssa Mae is 21. His parents and his inspiration, Silvino and Felissa, were both Lions and Melvin Jones Fellows. Lion Alex enjoys ski-ing, canocing, bicycling and motorcycling, as well as photography, cleetronics, robotics, 3D printing and CNC machining.
